friday was a good day: i went to boomers with ashley, andrea, and isabel and i had a blast! and then i got home, checked my email and what do you know! my host father (otosan) emailed me!! he was so sweet and he sent a pic of his wife, daughter, and 2 sons (ages 11, 9, and 8). he also called and talked to my mom……. OMG I CANT WAIT TO MEET THEM!!!!!!!!!

ohh and today i went to a one year old’s birthday party and all the ladies there commented on how i had gotten fatter LOL

i got my departure date for japan in the mail today.. poor tiffany had to witness the beginning of my freak out while still in the car..

so….

leaving tustin: june 11 (to berkeley, california for 3 day predeparture orientation… this will be a joy)

leaving the US: june 14 (to japan!)

coming back to the US: july 27

i really should be happy about this but i thought i would leave at the end of june so leaving june 11 has come as bit of a shock. thats just too soon. i still have so much to do!

the week of june 7 i have to do all my finals AND pack (this will be a very long process: i must get gifts for my host family, painstakingly choose what little clothes i will take to japan, and…. there’s more i just cant remember)….. but seriously, yfu has decided to pull me out of school almost a week early… why? i do not know…… but i do know that i will fail my finals…

and the weekend before the 7th i have to do my SAT subject test for math… i have to study for this because i forgot all the precalc stuff from last year (or rather i never learned any precalc stuff because addison was… well you know addison)…. but yeah, this and finals and pack. wonderful.

and i have to start drinking only tap water (which i find mildly repulsive) because apparently they only drink tap water in japan.. and it also gives you diarrhea (according to mrs mak)

and my delightful father has limited me to 20 min of computer use and 5 min daily showers for the next 3 weeks before i leave just to prove that i am responsible enough to take a laptop to japan.
